Terre des hommes.
We were incredibly honoured to partner with international organisation, Terre des hommes, between December 2017 and March 2018.
We worked together to provide football sessions for refugees and asylum seekers living in urban accommodation in the area of Thessaloniki, Greece. This project targeted men, aged between 15 and 30.
Norwegian Refugee Council.
The programme was open to around 20 participants of any ability, who would like to play football and experience the health and social benefits that come with it.
DocMobile is a German NGO. Volunteer doctors, nurses and medical professionals provide free medical care in Greece to refugees, and all other people in need, who have less access to the normal healthcare system.
We are so grateful that the DocMobile team are on-hand to provide medical attention and advice about their services, during our monthly Football for All community events.
Soul Food Kitchen.
Together, we were able to engage with the displaced community in Thessaloniki, many of whom continue to attend our events. The team at Soul Food Kitchen provided a delicious meal for everyone on the day, so we could all connect over good food after the game.
Where Is Football.
On April 6th 2018, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, we launched our partnership with Where Is Football.
Together, we will work to highlight the issues faced by displaced people, and the power that sport has to address them, providing football fans with opportunities to learn, support and get involved.
Fabio D’Apice, Founder of Centro Coaching has worked with Dan and Jess to provide support on leadership, team dynamics and strategy.
Fabio's work helped us to understand more about Aniko, and what we hoped to achieve, and played an important part in our decision to focus our resources on developing Aniko FC.
indiGO Volunteers works in collaboration with Help Refugees to coordinate and connect volunteers with more than 40 grassroots projects responding to the refugee crisis, predominantly in Greece, but also in Serbia and Bosnia.
indiGo Volunteers help to ensure our monthly Football for All events run smoothly!
One World Play Project.
Our friends at One World Play Project are helping us to support displaced communities through the universal language of football. They, and we, believe in the healing and transformative power of play for all people.
As a beneficiary of their Play Together campaign, we receive One World Futbols donated by individuals all over the world.
We are incredibly grateful to Jon from TLC, who committed his time and expertise to support us in developing the Aniko brand.
From hashing out our true mission, to creating the perfect logo, Jon made the process a fun and inspiring experience. Our branding really embodies who we are at Aniko and we couldn't be happier with the results.
